Jaela DeShazo (she/her) is singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. She is from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is a graduate of the Governor’s School for the Arts Musical Theatre (class of 2019) and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

As a bi-racial artist, she draws inspiration from her diverse background, infusing her music with a blend of different cultural influences. She loves to write her own original R&B music and plans to continue recording when she moves to New York City in the fall.

Apart from music, she loves spending time with friends and family and is a dedicated spin queen/enthusiast. She also
enjoys spending time in nature, taking hikes and exploring the outdoors.
